A day at the beach...

So I finally made it through my last week of clinicals. It was brutal! I'm still not done with school and I have a lot of papers to write and tests to study for, but at least I am on the downhill slope finally. We decided to take a last minute trip to California to relax on the beach all day. We splurged and booked a hotel right on the beach so we could walk everywhere. It was a beautiful hotel, the room was a little small, but that's ok when you are going to spend all day at the beach, right? Unfortunately, the weather channel lied! It was supposed to be sunny, but it was cold and cloudy. Doesn't make for a very fun day at the beach. We still tried, and had fun for a little bit, but it was just too cold for the boys to have any fun. Of course the sun peaked out through the clouds for a few hours to let us enjoy a walk to Huntington Beach Pier and have lunch at Duke's.

The next day, we decided we would head down to San Diego and hit up the tidepools at Cabrillo National Monument. At least it was a beautiful sunny day. The boys were so tired from all the walking we did the day before that their legs hurt so bad, walking was almost out of the question. We got them to "walk it off" and walked around the cliffs and tidepools for a bit and then headed home.
