Sick again!

I have no idea why this semester has been so bad with my kids being sick. I have been lucky, but they have pretty much had something every weekend since August. The pediatrician I work with said welcome to the world of school. Jordan did start preschool in August, and ever since, it has been a whirlwind of colds and horrible stomach flus. Well this one just happened to hit poor Kyle pretty hard. He was being a trooper but didn't feel like eating or drinking anything! The trips to the bathroom were just making him too dehydrated so I ended up taking him to the ER for much much needed IV fluid replacement. He is one tough kid and didn't even cry when the nurse put in the IV. Of course they needed a stool sample, which he refused until he just couldn't hold it any longer. Kyle does NOT like to use anyone else's bathroom but his own and will do anything not to have to. Unfortunately for him, he just couldn't avoid it. We should find out in the next few days if he will antibiotics. Until then we will just have to deal with pedialyte and popscicles. The picture below shows it all. He was pretty miserable but was the perfect patient. And, they were not going to make him lay in that bed, he refused. He wanted to sit in the chair and watch SpongeBob.
